hello/Pialli! I’m Christiana.
She/Her/They/Them
I am a queer Xicana, born and raised in Corrales, New Mexico, with mixed heritage from New Mexico, Northern Mexico, and Europe.
A wife, sister, daughter, granddaughter, Tia, mother to countless plants, a few dogs and cats, and a creative at heart.
A lover of all things wild and free. Deeply connected to the land of New Mexico; my home and the ancestral home of many of my ancestors. I do my best to honor these sacred desert lands that I get to call home.
A practitioner of Ancestral healing ways, grounded and informed by Mexica cosmology and teachings. Honoring my Maestras/os/es teachings, along with my Ancestors wisdom with love, honor & respect.
With a background in movement, exercise and nutrition, A Bachelor of Science in Nutrition and Dietetics from UNM and a certified personal trainer through NSCA since 2010.
A practitioner and student of regional herbalism, honoring the plants that connect me to my ancestors and heritage. In gratitude and connection to the teachings of Dara Saville my teacher and mentor, and also the founder of Albuquerque Herbalism and The Yerba Mansa Project.
My focus & Approach
My focus is empowerment and education. Sharing what I know to help my community find clarity and confidence with their wellness.
With the intention to support others with movement, nutrition, and herbalism; while keeping my Ancestral teachings and practices at the core of all I do.
Wellness doesn’t exist on a binary scale.
It will always look and feel different for each individual. This will always be considered at Obsidian Hummingbird Wellness.
